Simply put, Graphicster is a graphics marketplace that will allow artists new and old to crowdsource their own creations and designs. This includes logos, 3D models, textures, concept art ... the list is endless.
People can post projects on the site, and upon describing the kind of graphics that they want and how much they are willing to pay for them they will get in touch with artists who think that they can handle it. The artists themselves upload suggestions, and the one who posted the job will be able to evaluate them all. Upon making up his mind, he will pick a winner from the artists that did submit their own graphic content, and transfer the money.
As you can see, the site couldn’t be more agile. The fact remains that there are a lot of struggling artists out there, and anything that makes them gain recognition and/or professional experience will not go unnoticed. Maybe the site could have a section devoted to portfolios, and highlight the work of community members in that way. Users would then be able to approach individual artists themselves, and that would make for a more vibrant community in turn.
In their own words
