AP to dabble in Twitter crowdsourcing at Sotomayor hearing
There is a first-time for everything and the AP's exploiting of Twitter for crowdsourcing purposes is definitely a first. The Associated Press already embraced Web 2.0 some time ago by using Twitter to promote its mobile news platform and such. AP reporters engage with Twitter in the name of promoting their articles and blogs. But never before has the AP used the microblogging titan to relinquish its authoritative power to its readers.
